The Roxborough Manayunk Conservancy continues to expand its reach—engaging more volunteers and caring for 14 parks and trails across our community. This year alone, we logged over 5,050 volunteer hours and planted more than 600 trees.
In 2026 we will also focus on building strong, engaged Friends of the Park groups to ensure our public green spaces receive the consistent care and oversight they deserve. The RMC is stepping in tor bridge a critical gap, as our public parks remain woefully underfunded.
At the same time, major funders are prioritizing “areas of concern,” as outlined in the Philly Tree Plan, making it harder than ever for the RMC to secure funding to support and expand our work to provide essential park maintenance—and to enrure safety, cleanliness, accessibility, and overall condition for our parks.
