The Roxborough Manayunk Conservancy continues to expand its reach—engaging more volunteers and caring for 14 parks, trails, and green spaces across our community. In 2025, RMC volunteers contributed more than 5,050 hours of service and planted over 600 trees.

In 2026, we will also focus on building strong, engaged Friends of the Park groups to help ensure our public green spaces receive the consistent care and oversight they deserve. The RMC is stepping in to help bridge a critical gap, as parks across Philadelphia remain woefully underfunded.

Private support is essential to sustain these efforts and grow our network of volunteers and Park Friends groups. This is an especially challenging moment, as major funders are prioritizing “areas of concern” identified in the Philly Tree Plan, making it difficult for the RMC to secure the resources needed to maintain and expand our work through grants.
